SKILLING ODDS FALL: Hopes for "International Mr. Weather" Title Fade

Famed meteorologist Tom Skilling opts for the safer of Chicago’s two baseball stadiums.

Chicago television weather icon Tom Skilling’s hopes of claiming the title “International Mr. Weather” by saving the streets of Wrigleyville and Boystown with sour Memorial Day weekend weather seem to be fading.

While Skilling’s chances were looking good early in the weekend, analysts say an overnight robbery spree may have stacked the numbers against him.

Vegas’ number crunchers are already giving Jerry Taft favorite status in the early 2014 “Mr. Weather” odds.

About CWBChicago 4259 Articles
CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas. But our mission remains unchanged: To provide original public safety reporting with better context and greater detail than mainstream media outlets.
