A RAW DEAL: Our Crime Stat Database Is Online

A reader suggested that we should post the data that we use to create our various statistical analyses. And it has now been done.

If you’re a detail oriented individual, an Excel aficionado, or if you’d just like to poke around, we invite you to take a look. The files can be viewed online as Google Docs and downloaded for use in Excel.

Our files include statistical information, including addresses and dates, on thousands of Wrigleyville and Boystown crimes since 2001.

Please, please, please let us know if you run across any errors. Three sets of eyes scoured our works before posting, but extra eyes are always good. We’re serious about being accurate around here.

CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas.
