ALSO OVERNIGHT: 4 vs. 1 Beating At Wrigley McDonalds; Attempted Burglary on Seminary

An officer on patrol stumbled across a man who had been severely beaten behind the McDonalds on Clark Street, across from Wrigley Field. The victim suffered “quite a few” injuries to his face and body during the midnight attack, according to initial reports from the scene. Thankfully, officers found and detained one female and three males in connection with the beating.

A man who lives near Seminary and Roscoe Street flagged down a passing patrol car after two men reportedly tried to break into a residence around 2:00AM. Police officers said that it appeared that two men tried to kick in a door on the second floor of the three-level apartment building, then fled.

The offenders’ descriptions are:

1) male, black, 6-feet tall, carrying a Rivers Casino book bag or back pack
2) male, black, 5’10” tall

Both offenders wore all black clothing and were last seen running out of the building and then eastbound through the Roscoe alley toward Clark Street

The Chicago Police Department apparently classified the case as vandalism under #HW402615
