ALLEY CATS: Thieves Busted For Car Break-Ins

Sharp-eyed residents and quick-responding officers teamed up to put an end to two thieves’ shopping spree in neighborhood alleys this morning.

Around 5:15 Tuesday morning, residents in the 3300 block of North Kenmore reported two males dressed in all black walking through the alley, pulling on car doors. The pair had gained access to a few cars and were working their way north.

Officers took the two offenders into custody in the alley behind the 1000 block of Roscoe.

Well done, officers.

CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas. But our mission remains unchanged: To provide original public safety reporting with better context and greater detail than mainstream media outlets. Our editorial email address is news@cwbchicago.com
