For the second time in a week, a victim has been robbed at gunpoint in Boystown.
Three hoodlums robbed a man at gunpoint near Broadway and Buckingham around 2:15 this morning.
The victim, who lives in a nearby high rise, told officers that one of the offenders displayed a handgun and he was relieved of his wallet, keys, and cell phone.
After robbing the man, the three offenders ran southbound on Broadway, then westbound on Melrose toward Halsted Street.
The offenders are described as:
Offender 1-male, black, wearing a light colored zip-up hoodie and black pants
Offender 2 and 3-male, black, 5’10” or taller, wearing black hoodies.
Thankfully, this victim waited nearly 15 minutes for the nearest available officers to arrive from the far north side of the district. Chicago Police Department case #HW460671.
Exactly one week ago, early on the morning of September 14, a victim was robbed at gunpoint outside of Boystown’s largest gay bar during operating hours.
