NO-PAY CUERVO: Shoplifter Pulls Knife On Walgreens Employee

A shoplifter who tried to walk out of the Walgreens at Halsted and Barry with 9 bottles of Jose Cuervo tequila in his backpack escalated the crime to robbery by pulling a knife on an employee who tried to stop the theft.

Police were called to the store at 3:30 Friday afternoon.

Witnesses describe the offender as a male, black, about 40 years old, 5’5″ tall, 165 pounds, bald, with gray facial hair, wearing a white t-shirt and black jeans. He was carrying a green satchel with black stripes and a black backpack.
