FROM THE POUR HOUSE TO THE BIG HOUSE: Quick Bust In Alleged Battery, Robbery At Belmont Bar

911 was called at 12:35 this morning for a battery in progress at Belmont Pour House, 1113 W Belmont. The caller stated that a man had been inside the establish, “fighting employees and throwing things.” After workers managed to push the offender outside of the business, he began to rob the caller, according to dispatch.

Officers near the Belmont Red Line station found a man who matched the offender’s description: male, black, wearing a black Def Jam coat and a black hat. He was driven back to the establishment where he was taken into custody after a positive identification was made.
