NOT IN IOWA ANYMORE: Woman’s Car Stolen On Barry

UPDATE: This vehicle was recovered by Chicago Police on the evening of October 30, 2013

A suburban woman is going to have a heck of a time getting around after her car was stolen from the 700 block of W. Barry this morning.

The theft was an easy job for the perpetrator since the car keys were left inside of the vehicle, which is described as a black 2008 Honda CRV with Illinois plates and a University of Iowa license plate frame.

The victim walked (obviously) to the 19th district station and filed a report at 6:45 this morning

Auto theft case report #HW508956.

CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas. But our mission remains unchanged: To provide original public safety reporting with better context and greater detail than mainstream media outlets.
