At 1:55AM, a flood of calls came into 911 from the intersection of Clark and Belmont. Some callers stated that a man had been hit by a car and was unresponsive and bleeding on the ground. Other callers stated that a man was down on the ground and bleeding after being beaten by four men.

Eight offenders stormed out of the Sports Authority store at Clark and Barry with 50 athletic jackets worth an estimated $2,000 at 3:15 Saturday afternoon. The thieves, described only as male and black, escaped southbound in an older white or gray Pontiac van. CPD case number HW518015.

The 19th district sat in “Radio Assignment Pending” (RAP) status–meaning that calls for service had to wait for an officer to become available–for nearly five hours Sunday morning. The RAP began at 1:40AM CST and ended at 6:29AM. It is the 24th RAP that CWB has documented since we began keeping records in late June.

A security guard called 911 from the Belmont Red Line station after a woman was robbed at 3:20 this morning. The guard said that two offenders, described as males, black, with dreadlocks, and wearing black t-shirts, were last seen running north. CPD has classified this case as a theft in report HW518679.
