HIM AGAIN?: Police Department “Regular” Prompts 911 Call From COH

Police were called to the Center on Halsted (COH) at 11:30 Wednesday morning for an assault in progress. A 911 caller reported that a man inside the center was “acting in a threatening manner.”

Officers arrived and made contact with a man who frequently crosses paths with the police. In fact, as CWB reported in October, this individual was stopped twice in under 10 hours by different officers who were investigating separate incidents.

His address of record is 3837 N. Broadway, the former home of the Broadway Youth Center.

The man was released after a background check found no active warrants.

No report filed.

About CWBChicago 4259 Articles
CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas. But our mission remains unchanged: To provide original public safety reporting with better context and greater detail than mainstream media outlets.
