BUSINESS ALERT: Break-In Pattern Identified, Police Say

Area North detectives have issued an alert to business owners after four businesses were burglarized by offenders who broke in through the establishments’ glass. The full alert may be read on Alderman Tom Tunney’s site HERE.

One of the business burglaries identified in the CPD alert is located in our neighborhood.

The front door glass of Wellington Cleaners, 3011 N. Halsted, was found broken around 4AM Monday as CWB reported yesterday morning.

The other three businesses listed in the alert are located in nearby areas of Lincoln Park.

On November 6, CWB reported on a string of overnight break-ins in which burglars entered Windy City Gyros, a Wrigleyville Subway restaurant, and a Southport corridor dry cleaners. That report is HERE.

CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas.
