MONKEY BUSINESS: Burglars Target More Restaurants, Shops

Orange (left) and Ponzu Sushi (right) have both been burglarized in the 2 weeks.

In the days since three local sushi restaurants were burglarized on May 17, even more local eateries have fallen victim to prowlers.

Employees arriving for work Friday morning discovered that burglars had broken into Lincoln Park’s popular Orange restaurant at 2413 Clark.

Orange is located just a couple of doors north of Ponzu Sushi, which was targeted in the May 17 spree.

Roost Carolina Kitchen, 1467 Irving Park, was burglarized on the night of May 28.

Wrigleyville Thai mainstay P.S. Bangkok was reported burglarized on May 23—the second time it had been broken into since mid-April.

Restaurants have not been the only businesses hit.

Workers found the Ultimate Exposure tanning salon, 3324 N. Western, burglarized when they arrived for work last Monday. A nearby Dollar Tree store filed a similar report that same morning. And yet another tanning salon was burglarized last week near Sheffield and Roscoe.
