A reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of a man who robbed a bank in Lincoln Park on Thursday afternoon.

Police responded to the PNC Bank at 2600 North Halsted around 2:45 p.m. after the robber passed a note demanding money. The offender held his hand in his jacket pocket as if he had a weapon, according to a witness.

An FBI bulletin said the robber stands about 5’5” tall and has a “small” build.

The federal agency said a reward of “up to $1,000” is being offered for information that leads directly to the man’s arrest. Information may be given to the FBI’s Chicago Field Office at 312-421-6700.

CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas. But our mission remains unchanged: To provide original public safety reporting with better context and greater detail than mainstream media outlets. Our editorial email address is news@cwbchicago.com
