The burglar broke into the first establishment at 11:29 p.m. on Wednesday, according to a CPD community alert. A driver reported the burglary at Man-Jo-Vin’s restaurant, 3224 North Damen, a short time later.

About three hours after the first incident, police found the door shattered at Blossoms Anytime, 3152 North Paulina. Detectives said the flower shop was targeted sometime between 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2:15 a.m. Thursday.

Police did not describe the offender in the bulletin.

Detectives encourage owners to tell employees and colleagues in the area. And residents should pay close attention to suspicious people in the area, the alert said.
