A 31-year-old man told police that two offenders robbed him at gunpoint in Lincoln Park late Monday. No one is in custody.
Police said two men approached the victim as he stood on the sidewalk on the 500 block of West Arlington around 11:55 p.m. One of the offenders pulled out a handgun and announced a robbery. The pair fled eastbound on Arlington after collecting the man’s valuables, according to a CPD spokesperson.
According to the victim, the offenders are two black men in their early 20’s. One is about 6-feet tall and wore a black leather coat over a black hoodie. The other wore all black clothing.
Bicyclist robs woman
Police said a man on a bicycle robbed a woman of her phone in Lincoln Park on Sunday afternoon.
The man wrestled the woman’s phone from her hand as she walked on the 2200 block of North Orchard around 3:50 p.m., according to a CPD report. The offender then rode his bike southbound toward Oz Park, according to the victim.
An officer on the scene said the offender is a black male in his late teens who stands about 5’10” tall and wore all black clothing. He was last seen riding a black bicycle with a large group of teens who were on foot, the victim said.
