Update 3:43PM: Marilyn Hartman is charged with one felony count of criminal trespass to an airport, police said this afternoon. She is due in bond court on Sunday. CWBChicago’s original report follows.

Serial airline stowaway Marilyn Hartman is in police custody after she allegedly tried to slip past security at O’Hare on Friday, according to a source familiar with airport operations.

TSA agents allegedly saw the 67-year-old moving lane dividers in an attempt to circumvent a security checkpoint at 10:05 p.m.

Chicago police this morning told CWBChicago that “a known female habitual stowaway” is in custody, but the department did not identify her by name. The airport operations source confirmed the woman is Hartman.

A judge sentenced Hartman to probation earlier this year after she pleaded guilty to taking a flight from Chicago to London without a ticket.

Hartman has been arrested at O’Hare eight times since 2015. The courts have found her unfit for trial at least once.

Charges are pending in last night’s incident. A felony criminal trespass charge is expected, according to a second source.
