Investigators released images late Tuesday of a man who allegedly beat and robbed a victim after following him from a Loop Brown Line station on Monday evening.

Police said the offender and the victim exited a train at the Quincy station and walked a short distance before the attack unfolded at 222 West Adams around 10:40 p.m. The robber jumped the victim from behind, beat, and kicked him before taking the man’s backpack, CWBChicago previously reported.

An ambulance crew transported the victim to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where his condition stabilized.

The two men had a dispute of some sort at the Diversey Brown Line station before they boarded the train and headed downtown.

Investigators said in Tuesday’s alert that the offender is in his 20’s, 5’10 to 6’2” tall, and 180 to 200 pounds. He was last seen heading northbound on Wells Street.
