A recently-paroled man is charged with battering, biting, and sexually assaulting his 91-year-old neighbor during a home invasion in Little Italy last week.
Prosecutors said 55-year-old Londre Brown entered the woman’s home on the 1200 block of South Throop sometime around 8 p.m. last Friday. He punched the elderly woman in her face, knocked her to the ground, and then violently raped her, according to allegations filed in court.
Police said Brown bit the woman repeatedly on her face and thighs during the attack.
Officers who responded to a 911 call found Brown nearby, and the victim identified him as her attacker, police said.
Prosecutors charged Brown with two Class X felony counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault of a victim over age 60, Class X felony home invasion causing injury, and felony aggravated battery of a victim over age 60. Judge Arthur Willis set bail at $1 million.
According to state records, Brown was paroled on Aug. 26 after serving half of a one-year sentence that he received for aggravated assault of a police officer. State officials revoked his parole in light of the sexual assault allegations, and Brown was returned to Stateville Correctional Center in Joliet on Thursday.
