Armed robbery at Lakeview GameStop foiled by elusive safe code

Police said the offender walked into a store on the 3900 block of North Broadway around 12:15 p.m., pulled out a knife, and demanded money from the cashier. A police report lists the store as GameStop, 3951 North Broadway.

Prosecutors say Edward Fleming and two juveniles lured a suburban man into an armed carjacking via a dating app on Tuesday. Less than a month ago, a judge released Fleming on his own recognizance after cops allegedly caught him driving a stolen car.
