Police are reporting widespread looting along the Magnificent Mile and State Street shopping corridors. Looters have struck Water Tower Place, the Disney Store, Niketown, Neiman Marcus, multiple cellular stores, Macy’s on State Street, and more.
Countless injuries, arrests, and fires have been reported. Here is a collection of images from the area:

Things got pretty tense just now at the AMA Plaza as cops on bikes tried to move through the crowd. Water bottles thrown; and shoving from both side errupted. #Chicago#GeorgeFloydpic.twitter.com/EyF0FF8i9q
A friend sent me this. Not sure where she got it or which intersection it took place at. But you literally see people pulling off Chicago police officers' ballistic vests. These officers are down on the ground and people are taking their VESTS from them. See this, @chicagosmayor? pic.twitter.com/kTwc1UhSVq

CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings.
Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas. But our mission remains unchanged: To provide original public safety reporting with better context and greater detail than mainstream media outlets.
