Cops link 2 Noble Square robberies to 4-man crew

Police have linked two recent armed robberies in Noble Square to a group of four men who traveled in a white or cream-colored SUV, according to a CPD community alert. Both of the robberies were reported around 3 a.m. last Wednesday, August 4.

In both cases, the men stepped out of the SUV, approached victims on the street, and demanded valuables at gunpoint.

The crew robbed a man of his jacket, wallet, and cash on the 1300 block of North Greenview and then robbed another victim on the 1400 block of West Blackhawk, according to the alert and a CPD report.

Police said the suspects are four Black men between 18- and 25-years-old.

CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas.
