Robber wearing ‘Don’t Be A Menace’ jacket robbed CTA passenger, Chicago police say

Chicago police are looking for a man who punched and robbed another passenger while riding a CTA bus and wearing a coat that says “DON’T BE A MENACE.”

The unmindful menace took another passenger’s phone while riding a northbound #9 Ashland bus at Madison around 3:38 p.m. on Friday, November 11, according to CPD. The victim chased the offender from the bus, but the menace punched him in the face and got away, police said.

CPD said the suspect is 21- to 25-years-old, 5’11 to 6-feet tall, and about 170 pounds.
