CHICAGO — A Hazelcrest man is charged with robbing two women and shooting one of the victims in Logan Square, Chicago police said this morning. D’angelo Moore, 21, is due in bond court this afternoon.

Moore was one of two people who robbed a 26-year-old woman and a 29-year-old woman at gunpoint in the 1900 block of North Spaulding around 10:20 p.m. Monday, according to a CPD media statement. One of the offenders fired a shot, striking the younger woman in the calf, police said.

After getting the victims’ purses, Moore and his accomplice fled the scene on bicycles, but Chicago cops caught up with Moore in the 3300 block of West Beach minutes later, officials said.

Moore is charged with aggravated battery by discharging a firearm, armed robbery with a firearm, and attempted armed robbery with a firearm.

Police said the woman who was shot suffered serious injuries. She had been taken to Humboldt Health in fair condition immediately after the shooting.

CWBChicago will post a full update after prosecutors detail the allegations against Moore during his bail hearing.
