CHICAGO — The FBI’s Chicago field office is looking for a man who robbed two West Town banks about a block apart in less than 20 minutes.

His first attempt was at Fifth Third Bank, 936 North Western, around 1:12 p.m. last Thursday, September 14. But he didn’t get anything from the teller and left empty-handed, according to the FBI. After changing clothes, he entered
another Fifth Third Bank branch at 820 North Western at 1:26 p.m. He had better luck there and walked away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The FBI did not include a reward offer in its bulletin about the robber, issued yesterday. Tips can be shared with the agency at 312-421-6700 or tips.fbi.gov
