Machete-wielding robber mugged 2 on the Blue Line, police say

CHICAGO — An armed robber who brandished a machete to rob two people on the CTA Blue Line is the latest subject of a Chicago Police Department bulletin. Mass Transit Detectives released two surveillance images of the suspect on Monday, hoping someone would recognize him.

The man brandished a machete to rob two people on the Blue Line near the Kedzie-Homan stop at 7:42 p.m. on December 30, according to the alert. He escaped after getting the victims’ property.

CPD described the suspect as Black, male, and between 18 and 22 years old.
