Police are warning about a robbery and carjacking pattern that has emerged in the Wicker Park, Bucktown, and Logan Square neighborhoods.

Police are investigating an armed robbery and an auto theft that unfolded minutes apart Monday morning in the Bucktown neighborhood.

Citywide, 218 scooter-type vehicles were reported stolen through September 15 this year. That’s up 70% compared to the 128 cases reported during the same period last year.

Another armed carjacking unfolded in Bucktown Monday afternoon, the latest in a string of robberies that have been reported in the area this month.
