Chicago police will reconstitute a multi-agency task force to reverse a rise in carjackings this year. On Friday evening, a 72-year-old man was punched and robbed of his car in the latest hijacking.
The armed men started with a carjacking on the Far North Side, then moved to the Gold Coast, Loop, South Loop, and — police believe — Fulton Market and River North.
