Grounded: Suburban man charged with robbing hotel hookups he met via Grindr

Police said Davion Johnson of Sauk Village is responsible for three more Grindr-connected robberies since November. Johnson was also charged (and released on $150 bail) after yet another hotel guest said he stole from him near the Mag Mile last month.

Chicago police have identified a suspect who they believe is responsible for robbing at least three men in downtown hotels this month. The victims were robbed by a Taser-wielding man after each arranged to meet up with the offender via the Grindr gay hookup app.
