The attack took place in nearly the same location where another man was stabbed last Wednesday.

The victims were sitting inside a black 2015 Jeep Cherokee when a carjacker forced them from the vehicle, police said.

An argument in the River North neighborhood ended with a man being stabbed repeatedly in the back early Wednesday, police said. No one is in custody.

Police said Matthews surrendered to police on Sunday after he learned that a warrant had been issued for his arrest in the case. Previously charged and still awaiting trials in the case are 37-year-old Armond Williams of Villa Park and 34-year-old Jon Poole.
