The FBI today issued an alert for the woman who robbed the TCF Bank branch inside the a Jewel-Osco grocery store at 3531 N. Broadway Tuesday afternoon. The woman is also named as a suspect in another bank robbery.

CWB acquired exclusive information about the robbery and the suspect this evening.

Two bank tellers activated silent alarms at 3:21PM, according to police records, as the robber put her hand inside a black purse and implied she had a weapon. The perpetrator handed over a note reading, “give me all the money.”

Bank employees gave the woman an estimated $1,500 in $50 and $100 bills.

Police issued the following complete description of the woman: dark complected female, black, 45 to 50 years old, slim build, wearing a black coat that extended just beyond her waist, black pants, a gray hat, black sunglasses, and possibly a pony tail. In a nod to the Boystown fashionistas, she included a hot pink blouse in her Tuesday ensemble.

Witnesses believe the woman left the scene southbound on Broadway toward Cornelia Avenue.
