Chicago Police Department Case #HW280856

A group of attackers tazed a woman in her mid-20’s and stole her iPhone a couple of blocks southwest of Boystown at the intersection of Seminary and Wellington Avenues.

The victim told police that 4 to 5 black women, including one who had a large brown afro carried out the attack.

Officers patrolling Wrigleyville near Clark and Sheffield saw a group that loosely matched the victim’s description. Police drove the victim to that area, but a positive ID could not be made.

CPD filed the attack as an armed robbery with a dangerous weapon under case #HW280856

CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas. But our mission remains unchanged: To provide original public safety reporting with better context and greater detail than mainstream media outlets. Our editorial email address is news@cwbchicago.com
