Police are searching the area for a dark green Volkswagen SUV used as a the get-away car in a gunpoint robbery on Roscoe Street within the past 20 minutes.
The victim was robbed on the street at 537 W. Roscoe shortly after 2 o’clock this morning by an offender described as male, black, 6 feet tall, 160 pounds, with shoulder-length dreadlocks. The assailant may have been in the company of a white male. No further description is available for the second person.
The Volkswagen was last seen northbound on Broadway from Roscoe.
