An Unlikely, Yet True Story
A nurse at Weiss Hospital in Uptown reported that a 24 year old male, white who came in for treatment was wearing a home monitoring device.
The patient told officers that he has not been required to wear the anklet since January, but he’s simply been too darned busy to go in and have it removed.
After a bit of sleuthing, the man’s story checked out. Based on a review of the man’s criminal record, though, he may be saving himself the hassle of having another monitoring device strapped in the future, a scenario that seems all too likely since his rapidly growing rap sheet shows drug arrests in September 2011, November 2011, April 2012, August 2012, and on June 6 of this year.
He was also charged with escape/failure to appear in April 2012 after he failed to comply with electronic monitoring conditions.
