THE LYIN' KING: Cops End One-Man Show On Broadway

An off-duty Chicago Fire Department employee called 911 shortly before 10PM last night to report that a male, black, wearing a green shirt and beige pants was harassing people as they passed the intersection of Broadway and Buckingham.

Ten minutes later, an anonymous 911 caller reported that a male, black, 6’1″ tall, wearing a green polo shirt and khaki pants was telling passers-by at Broadway and Belmont that he had a gun. The caller did not see a gun.

Officers quickly found the man and took him into custody outside of the Salad House, 3176 N. Broadway, at 10:11PM.

About CWBChicago 4259 Articles
CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas. But our mission remains unchanged: To provide original public safety reporting with better context and greater detail than mainstream media outlets.
