Officers came across a bloody robbery victim near Wrigley Field as the Clark Street bars let out around 2 o’clock this morning.
The stunned victim, bleeding from the mouth, lost his iPhone 5 in the attack behind the Sports World souvenir shop on the southeast corner of Clark and Addison.
Police searched the area for the offender—a heavyset 25-year-old black man, about 5’7″ tall with a shaved head—but came up empty-handed. The robber was last seen heading eastbound, dressed in a gray shirt and gray pants.
An ambulance transported the victim to Thorek Hospital for treatment.

Lincoln Park: Another Gunpoint Robbery Near Sheffield and Lincoln
Police responded to a robbery at gunpoint in the 1000 block of Altgeld in nearby Lincoln Park at 10:12PM Friday. The hold up was just one block away from the scene of another robbery at gunpoint that CWB told you about on Sunday.
Last night’s victim was robbed of his cash, keys, and iPhone by a ski-masked gunman who is described at 5’7″ tall and heavyset. The offender was wearing a dark blue waist-length coat made of “cheap leather material,” light-colored jeans, and dark shoes.
Ski masks were worn in Sunday’s robbery as well.
The victim’s iPhone had been disabled within minutes of the hold-up on Friday.
