GIRLS! GIRLS! GIRLS!: Rain Brings Out Their Vicious Side

Rainy weather usually means criminals will be less active.

But rain did not dampen the spirits of ladies in the 19th district last night. The fairer sex went on a robbing and beating spree that stretched far and wide:

8:17PM Thursday – A masked woman pulls a handgun and robs another woman on the street near Belmont and Damen, then flees in an older model tan car with three other occupants. The Ukranian Village resident loses a black and white Billabong backpack containing her wallet and iPhone. Police return some of the property after a passer-by finds it near the Metra tracks at Belmont and Ravenswood. Offender description: Female, black or Hispanic, 5’4″ tall, 200 pounds, wearing a mask, and armed with a small revolver. CPD case HX310669.

1:00AM today – A woman is arrested for battering a police officer along the Lincoln Avenue bar strip just north Fullerton. Officers are there to handle a call in which a man said someone broke his wrist. The injured officer is treated at Illinois Masonic Medical Center and the woman goes to jail. CPD cases HX310953 and HX310969.

1:03AM today – A woman is arrested at Scarlet bar on Boystown’s Halsted strip after allegedly punching a doorman.

3:22AM today – Over on Western Avenue, a woman kicks a 7-Eleven worker who tried to prevent her from stealing a bottle of wine. The clerk was not successful. The woman, a man, and the wine are last seen heading eastbound on Grace in a black Pontiac. Description: An older white woman driving a black Pontiac. She was accompanied by a man who is only described as black.

Pride Really Is Here!

This may be the most fabulous name we’ve ever heard broadcast by officers in Boystown: “Celine Diaz.”

About CWBChicago 4358 Articles
CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas. But our mission remains unchanged: To provide original public safety reporting with better context and greater detail than mainstream media outlets.
