SMOKING GUN: Tobacco Shop Hit In Lincoln Park

UPDATE JUNE 20: Police have issued an alert.
————
Six days after a gunman robbed a Belmont Avenue sex shop, a small “smoke shop” was held up near Clark and Fullerton yesterday.

Police have not connected the two incidents, but both “vice” shops are atypical targets on high-traffic streets in an area where retail robberies are unusual. The victims in both robberies reported the offender’s weapon to be “small.”

Last night’s robbery at MS Smoke Shop, 2445 N. Clark, was pulled off by an offender who is described as male, black, wearing a blue t-shirt, and carrying a black “school bag.” He fled northbound on Clark Street around 9:30PM.

The man who robbed Egor’s Dungeon of cash and lingerie last weekend was described as black, 25 years old, 5’4″ tall, and 150 pounds. He carried a satchel.

CPD case HX303773.

About CWBChicago 4360 Articles
CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas. But our mission remains unchanged: To provide original public safety reporting with better context and greater detail than mainstream media outlets.
