COURT REPORT: More Of The Neighborhood’s Accused

Rhodes

Here are some follow-ups on recent CWB stories. All information is based on Cook County Criminal Court records and is current at the time of posting:

• 20-year-old Anastasia K. Rhodes of North Center has been charged with aggravated battery to a police officer for allegedly punching a cop who removed her from the running board of a fire department ambulance along the Lincoln Avenue bar strip early Friday. Rhodes’ bond was set at $20,000 and she is free on pre-trial monitoring.

Wallace

• Timothy Wallace, 52, is accused of robbing a 29-year-old man at the Addison Red Line station at 5:27 Sunday morning. Prosecutors say the victim was having trouble with a Ventra vending machine at the station. Wallace offered to help, but wound up fleeing with the man’s wallet instead, cops said. Previous cases on Wallace’s Cook County Court record include accusations of assault and aggravated assault, among other things. He is being held on $10,000 bond.

Barlow

• Lawrence P. Barlow, 46, received concurrent 11- and 8-year sentences for two aggravated robberies in 1997. He is now accused of robbing a Belmont Avenue convenience store and one of its customers late on May 17. Barlow is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and two counts of unlawful restraint. He is being held on $500,000 bond.

CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas. But our mission remains unchanged: To provide original public safety reporting with better context and greater detail than mainstream media outlets. Our editorial email address is news@cwbchicago.com
