ROBBERY REPORT: Rundown Of This Week’s Muggings

A series of reported and alleged robberies in the neighborhood and nearby areas:

• A woman was punched in the face and robbed of her gold purse near Fullerton and Geneva Terrace in the Lincoln Park neighborhood this morning. A passer-by stumbled across the woman around 3:41AM and called police. The woman’s purse contained two iPhones. Suspect description: Male, white, 5’10” tall, buzz-cut brown hair, blue t-shirt, jeans.

• Man reports that he was robbed near Broadway and Waveland around 4AM on Thursday.

• Friday night at 11:14PM, a Lincoln Park man who “invited” two black females who turned out to be black males into his Lincoln Park apartment wound up getting beaten and robbed of $1,000 cash. The victim’s story later evolved to say that his building doorman let the offenders into the complex, which is located in the 2600 block of Clark Street.

Other confirmed muggings over the past week:

– Friday, June 19, 1AM near Halsted and Barry.
– Saturday, June 20 at 2AM. 3500 block of Clark.
– Saturday, June 20 at 3:30AM. 1100 block of Patterson.
– Saturday, June 20 at 3:45AM in the 700 block of Briar.

No arrests have been made in any of these cases.
