WITHDRAWN: Uptown Man Charged With Lincoln Park Bank Robbery

A 60-year-old Uptown man is charged with the September 26 robbery of a Citibank branch in nearby Lincoln Park, federal court records show.

One count of bank robbery by force or violence has been filed against Maurice Hudson whose most recent address is in the 4500 block of N. Hazel.

At the time of the hold-up, witnesses said an apparently “diminished” offender implied that he had a weapon as he presented a note to the bank teller at 2555 N. Clark. He fled with an undetermined amount of cash in an envelope, police said.

Responding officers described the offender as a heavyset black man with a cut or scar over his right eye.

CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas.
