While the final stats won’t be available for another few days, we are pleased to report that 2015 was a year of progress for public safety in Wrigleyville and Boystown. But, to borrow a cliche from our city’s politicians, “there is much work to be done.”
Thank you for putting pressure on your elected representatives and police executives—not the cops on the street, mind you—as well as the private entities whose events had been allowed to run rampant. We’re seeing modest movement in the right direction on a number of fronts. So, please continue those efforts on your end.
We particularly would like to thank our supporters who’ve seen fit to make a donation to our tip jar or to purchase one of our summertime “Helmont” T-shirts.
Over the next few months, we’ll be replacing some equipment that has, without exaggeration, been running 24/7 for nearly three years. Your support will help defray the costs of those purchases.
