Thank You.

While the final stats won’t be available for another few days, we are pleased to report that 2015 was a year of progress for public safety in Wrigleyville and Boystown. But, to borrow a cliche from our city’s politicians, “there is much work to be done.”

Thank you for putting pressure on your elected representatives and police executives—not the cops on the street, mind you—as well as the private entities whose events had been allowed to run rampant. We’re seeing modest movement in the right direction on a number of fronts. So, please continue those efforts on your end.

We particularly would like to thank our supporters who’ve seen fit to make a donation to our tip jar or to purchase one of our summertime “Helmont” T-shirts.

Over the next few months, we’ll be replacing some equipment that has, without exaggeration, been running 24/7 for nearly three years. Your support will help defray the costs of those purchases.

We’ve sent thank-you notes to everyone who provided an email address with recent tip jar contributions.

A few contributions came in without email addresses over the past couple of months, so we’ll say “thank you” publicly here:

DW on December 31.
LK on December 30.
CW on December 16.
MG on December 13.
BM on December 13.
DB on December 13.
DH on December 13.
SA on December 5.
DF on December 4.
ES on November 14.
Thanks again. Let’s continue to make our neighborhood better in 2016.

About CWBChicago 4274 Articles
CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas. But our mission remains unchanged: To provide original public safety reporting with better context and greater detail than mainstream media outlets. Our editorial email address is
