It seems no one and no place is off-limits for the sleazy thieves who are responsible for launching burglary rates into the stratosphere this year. Three burglaries were reported in our immediate area Monday evening alone.

Among recent victims are two churches, a nail salon, and far too many homeowners.

Details:

• The Chicagoland Community Church, 836 W. Aldine, discovered that their house of worship had been forcibly entered and burgled Monday evening.

• A passer-by Sunday found a brick tossed through a window and the front door kicked in at The J Nail Club, 1464 W. Fullerton, near the DePaul campus.

• Residential break-ins were reported Sunday and Monday in the 600 block of W. Waveland; the 3500 block of N. Sheffield; and the 2700 block of N. Pine Grove.

About CWBChicago 4259 Articles
CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas. But our mission remains unchanged: To provide original public safety reporting with better context and greater detail than mainstream media outlets.
