FBI Investigating Two Lakeview Bank Robberies

The FBI is investigating two Lakeview bank robberies that were reported hours apart on Thursday.

In the first robbery, a man walked into the BMO Harris Bank at 3601 North Halsted at 10:56AM and handed the teller a note in which he implied that he was armed.

Police describe the robber as a black man in his mid-30’s who stands about 5’11” tall and has a medium build. He wore a blue “LA Dodgers” baseball hat, a black jacket, blue jeans, and red shoes.

Then, at 3:20PM, a different man walked into the Chase Bank at 3335 North Ashland and announced a robbery. He escaped with about $1,000.

The second robber is a black man with a medium build who stands between 5’8” and 6’3” tall. He wore a white striped shirt and blue jeans, police said.

A reward is offered for information that leads the FBI to either man. The bureau’s Chicago office phone number is 312-421-6700.
