Chicago police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspected robbery offender.

The robbery took place on a Red Line train as it approached the North and Clybourn stop around noon on October 26, detectives said.

The woman pictured here tried to take another passenger’s phone by force. When that failed, the suspect pulled the victim from her seat by her hair and tried to drag her off of the train at the Clybourn station, police said.

The suspect then fled into the Clybourn station with two other black females and a white female.

Anyone with information about the incident or the suspect is asked to contact Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8382 about case HZ498147.

CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas. But our mission remains unchanged: To provide original public safety reporting with better context and greater detail than mainstream media outlets.
