Man Accused Of Trashing Trump’s Chicago Restaurant

Marcelin (inset) is accused of trashing the 16th-floor restaurant at the Chicago Trump Hotel & Tower.

The 16th-floor restaurant at President Donald Trump’s Chicago hotel is perfect for taking in our city’s breathtaking views. But not quite as breathtaking as this.

A Philadelphia man stands accused of trashing Trump’s eatery around 5:30 Monday evening—causing more than $14,000 in damages before hotel security could intervene, according to police.

36-year-old Holdson Marcelin entered the restaurant at 401 North Wabash and immediately set out to destroy the place, employees told police.

Marcelin’s rampage included “smashing glass, flipping tables, throwing chairs, pouring red wine on upholstery” and breaking signage before Trump security detained him, police said.

Police said video of the incident was captured on surveillance cameras and cell phones, but no further details were available.

Last March, a 30-year-old scam artist from Canton, Georgia, skipped out on a $1,838.90 bar tab at Trump Tower Terrace. Robert Heath missed a March 17 court date and remains at large.
