Woman Carjacked In Lakeview Parking Lot

Two offenders carjacked a 30-year-old Lakeview woman in a parking lot in the 3100 block of North Lincoln on Saturday evening, police said.

The victim was in her white Acura around 7:30 p.m. when one offender blocked her path and the other ran up to the driver-side window to demand that she exit the vehicle.

Both men entered the car and drove away.

Police said the thieves are two black men in their early 20’s who were wearing white tank tops. Both men pulled their shirts over their faces during the robbery to hide their identity.

Belmont: Baseball Bat Bandits

Lakeview’s robbery-filled weekend ended on a sour note, with yet another mugging being reported this morning at the Belmont Red Line station.

Around 4:20 a.m., two robbers threatened a man with a wooden baseball bat and demanded his valuables, police said. After securing about $200 cash, both offenders fled to the station platform and departed on a train.

Both robbers were black, male, 6-feet tall, thin, and wore black hoodies. One is about 25-years-old, and the other is about 40 with a white beard. The older man wielded the bat, police said.
