Police said a shot was fired during a party on the ninth floor of Homewood Suites in River North. |
Three handguns were recovered after shots were fired during a River North hotel room party early on Christmas Eve. Twelve people have been charged in connection with the case. No one was injured.
Police responded at 3:30 a.m. after a bullet went through a ninth floor wall at Homewood Suites, 40 East Grand, authorities said.
After finding “several common walls” penetrated by a bullet, officers entered a guest room where a party was taking place. A search of the room turned up three handguns, police said.
Authorities said 24-year-old Terraniqua Snow of Garfield Park rented the room to host the party with “unauthorized guests.” She is charged with misdemeanor reckless conduct and two misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Charged with trespassing were Caleb Roby, 20; Kavaris Wilson, 19; Terence Vickers, 22; Jaquail Brown, 18; Terrion Morris, 23; Teron Gulley (age unknown); Shyquan Snow, 22; Jazmine Pickett-Clark, 22; Shamond Armstead, 23; and two unnamed minors—one age 16 and the other age 17, police said.
All of the charged individuals list Chicago addresses except Maywood resident Shyquan Snow.
