A 12-year-old Uptown girl has been missing for more than 24-hours according to an alert issued by Chicago police tonight.

Abigail Hall left her home in the 800 block of West Eastwood round 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. She took extra clothing but was most recently seen in an olive green waist-length jacket, black jeans, and sky blue cloth gym shoes.

A police department source said the girl is believed to have left her home with a 14-year-old cousin. He is described only as Hispanic.

Abigail is about 5-feet-tall and weighs about 110 pounds. She has a mixed black and white heritage. Her eyes are brown and her hair is dark blond, police said. The alert noted that Abigail has a birthmark in the shape of a Christmas tree, but it did not say where the birthmark is located.

Anyone with information about Abigail’s whereabouts is asked to call the Area North Special Victims Unit at 312-744-8266.

CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas. But our mission remains unchanged: To provide original public safety reporting with better context and greater detail than mainstream media outlets. Our editorial email address is news@cwbchicago.com
