Cops Seek Man For Brown Line “Indecency”

Chicago police today issued a community alert after two women reported a man behaving indecently on Brown Line trains over the past 10 days. Both women are pregnant, police said.

The women told police that the man pictured here began masturbating near them as they rode trains in Lakeview and Lincoln Square during afternoon hours.

The first case was reported around 3:15 p.m. on May 8th by a woman who said the incident occurred while riding near the Montrose station. Two days later at about the same time of day, another woman reported similar behavior as the train moved near Southport.

CWBChicago previously reported that the first victim told police that the man followed her from the train when she exited at the Western stop. He then walked away in an unknown direction. Police describe the offender as a black man between 40- and 50-years-old who stands about 6-feet tall.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Area North detectives at 312-744-8200

CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas. But our mission remains unchanged: To provide original public safety reporting with better context and greater detail than mainstream media outlets. Our editorial email address is news@cwbchicago.com
