Police said the suspects were part of a large group of teens who surrounded and attacked the victims without provocation at 7:12 p.m.

The victims are a 29-year-old California woman, her 28-year-old boyfriend, and a 26-year-old man.

All three victims were treated at the scene. The older man later took himself to a hospital later where doctors determined that his eye socket had been fractured, the Sun-Times reported.

In a bulletin issued late on New Year’s Eve, police said the suspects are black males between 15- and 19-years-old who stand between 5’6” and 6-feet tall.

Anyone with information about the suspects may contact Area Central Detectives at 312-747-8380 regarding case #JB-571818.

About CWBChicago 4259 Articles
CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas. But our mission remains unchanged: To provide original public safety reporting with better context and greater detail than mainstream media outlets.
